Hi,

I attended my first meeting the other night and thought it was great.

Perhaps it's a little presumptuous of me to suggest an agenda for the next meeting, but I'm interested in fire walls and security and I thought that would be a good subject for a discussion. Maybe people could bring in floppies with their fire wall scripts and we all could learn what ports, addresses and services they are blocking, allowing or forwarding.  Than we could come up with an "official" HamLUG fire wall script, one that could be configured for single machine, router or what have you. I just purchased New Rider's Linux Fire walls Second Edition, with full coverage of iptables, and could bring that in as a reference.

For those who would like to see Linux propagate to more users, I think a fire wall/router would be the ideal place to start introducing people to Linux and what it can do.
