Small investment bank located in Long Island, NY is lookingto expand its systems administration group.  The company has 135 people, 60 of whom are PhDs, in existence for 20years, stable and profitable. JOB DESCRIPTION: Linux admin – 4-5 yrs of recent Linux exp.   Solaris exp a must (please remember this isa Linux position, not Solaris with a few months of Linux thrown in).If a person spent less than 60% of their time with Linux,please don’t submit.At least 2 years of experience in a 24/7 productionenvironment is a must.   Financeindustry experience is a strong plus.  Experience with building/recompiling Kernels is necessary; if they have any systems programming expthat’s also a strong plus.  Please indicate the Linux experience clearly on theresume.   If the applicant has to update the resume to reflect this experience, ask them to doso before submitting the resume. EDUCATION: BS degree is mandatory.
