Not justifying the spam at all. Just noting that some spams are not only annoying, they are pathetic in their execution. Like this one is a shotgun approach hoping to hit a German reader here and there who's not annoyed and who might buy contact lenses. I have seen some spams that are still bad because they are spam but they have a clever touch to them. One was made to look like a misdirected email with some office gossip. I still deleted it but I noted that they had a copywriter who could do apply good skills to a legitimate genre. So, as the old song that I just made up goes, "Mommas' don't let your sons grow up to be spammers. They'll tick off a lot of people and will not find love..." > I currently use rblsmtpd to filter out crap like this from open relays. > I also have plans to implement spamassassin to eliminate the rest of > the crap that seeps through. > > Perhaps a demonstration is in order for a future meeting? Look forward to it.
