No problems, Jennifer. Your announcement of Eric S. Raymond speaking is not
spam. The invitation is something of interest for the LUGs. You are on the
list because of shared interests, not to make a quick buck and run. And
you're not trying to sell us contact lenses auf Deutsch. <g>

Spam, generally, is unsolicited commercial emails sent to places where it
is not fitting. The definitions gets fuzzy at the edges because a lot
depends upon the relationships of the senders and recipients as well as the
content of the email.

Side note: I'll say one thing about the HamLUG list and spam: it attracts
international spam. We don't get the domestic stuff. We get German and
Turkish spam. Is that something to do with the international nature of
Linux? <g>

Thank you for the invitation. I regret I won't be able to see Eric S.
Raymond. I'll be leaving for Rhode Island the next day and have to get
things together.
