The topic for October's meeting this Tuesday (Oct 1st; 6:30pm at Hamilton
Public Library) is Wireless networking fro Linux. Got several people
brining cards, access points, what have you.

I picked up a Linksys WSUB-11 v2.5 Wi-Fi "card" after checking out
http://www.linux-wlan.org and found that this commonly available in local
stores device would work on Linux systems. I downloaded the drivers, etc.
from the linux-wlan site and trying to set them up on the Cappuccino
mini-PC that I'll bring to the meeting. One snag is the need for kernel
source. The way I installed Red Hat 7.3 was on the skimpy side. Not a big
hurdle; just have to get some things together. This way, I can do the
setup at the meeting.

See you all Tuesday evening.
