linux-ottawa.org was set up some years ago as insurance against the oclug.on.ca domain being sold off or used in ways that did not fit the corporation objectives. oclug domain was "donated" by a former member. We asked if we could take it over and were a bit surprised to be told a definite no. After some discussion, we decided it was safer to switch to the domain name we owned.
