Linux => Software, Cosas fisica y externas => Hardware.
No influye para nada que uses dos, linux o os/2.

Pero una ventaja de usar linux para redes wifi, es que hay una utilidad 
para hacer un AP con una tarjeta de red, cosa que no puedes hacer en 
windows.

Estimados

cuando me quiero conectar a una maquna linux via ssh recien instalada, luego de 
ingresar el login existe un delay de aprox. 10 segundo en que me pida la 
passwd, sin embargo, el problemas no se presenta en otras maquinas que se 
encuentran en la misma red, ya que en estas luego de ingresar el login la 
password es solicitada en forma inmediata

Que podra estar provocando esta demora?,  a alguien le ha ocurrido algo similar?

se agradecera cualquier ayuda u/o comentario al respecto

Podría ser un timeout de DNS? el servidor intenta resolver el inverso 
del cliente, pero ningún DNS le responde.
