Je ne sais pas, mais il y a longtemps, ce problème était typique d'une
suppression du bit 7 au niveau de la gestion du tty

Pour vérifier ce que ton shell voit en définitive, tu peux simplement
lancer
od -bc
et taper une série de fois un caractère suspect (od attend ce qu'on tape
dans le standard input, mais n'affiche que par paquet -> il faut entrer
nx le caractère avant de voir le résultat)

Tu peux faire ce test directement sous Linux et comparer avec ce que tu
génères à partir de putty.
Il faut que ce que putty génère corresponde à ce que ton terminal attend
: il doit y avoir moyen de changer ses propriétés d'émulation de
terminal et de set de caractère [utf-8 ?] (je n'utilise pas MS-W donc
pas moyen de tester putty)
