OK, thank you for the info. I also have (an older) Gigabyte motherboard with the KM266 chipset. My onboard video is S3 ProSavageDDR (but I use an AGP card). So I figured yours was most probably a type of S3 video. To help you to help yourself in the future, here is how I found this. I googled on "gigabyte 7VM400M-RZ" to get the specs. I found out that the video was literally called KM400 (but is an S3 type; some specs had the added "S3 UniChrome" whatever that is). I then googled on "VIA KM400 Linux video driver". I tried 5 links to find the MEPIS Forum link. The posting at MEPIS had the link to the VIA Arena site. It took me about 15 minutes total on dial-up. Driver should be here: "VIA Arena Drivers Section" <http://www.viaarena.com/Default.aspx?PageID=2#km400> Some instructions & suggestions on installing are here: "MEPIS Community Forum: Via KM400 Graphics Support" <http://www.mepis.org/node/view/822> I hope this helps & good luck.
