Also, on newer mainboards, like my Soyo KT400, the BIOS has a hot key
that you can hold downright after POST, that will take you to a device
menu (IDE0, IDE1, SCSI, USB, CDROM, etc.) where you can select which
device you want to boot from.

Check your mainboard documentation.
