use fdisk tool
# fdisk /dev/hd?  (?= a or b or anything where hardisk resides)
it will show all the partition of windows as well as linux one
the utility will guide u for removing the specified linux partition

then use xp bootable cd or floppy
and type in command prompt fdisk /mbr

this will help u for ur question
