I believe the location is "/usr/src/kernel-version". 
Also if you are using a pre-packaged kernel, you may
wish to lookup in the package manager program (where
you go to install additional software) for an item
called kernel-sources.  If not already installed, this
will be expanded from your installation media to the
hard drive, and enable your to compile the kernel
(with some other programs).
