I have been experimenting with various distros of Linux. I notice that when Ubuntu/Kbuntu boot up I don't get the scrolling text showing what's going on..what's being configured, etc. In suse I just changed the menu1st file to vga=normal. Is there a fix like that for Ubuntu? Jim
