Hello group:

I'm new too.

>From my experience, I have tried:
Ubuntu
Kubuntu
SimplyMEPIS
OpenSUSE
Freespire
DamnSmall (old laptop)
FreeBSD (old laptop)

As I write this, I'm writing it on Freespire, but I fear that I have
recently fallen in love with PCLinuxOS. For a newby, that is newer than
I am, that is where I would start. My second newby choice would be
Freespire, but it does really weird things with the desktop icons upon
startup. It's a known bug and I believe any self respecting OS would
have already fixed it.
