I've gotten Vector to run quite nicely on 450MHz and 333MHz
Pentium-2's with 128MB or RAM(!). The only caveat -- one has to
partition the HD manually *before* invoking the installer, or else you
have to stop the install and try again after partitioning. But
Vector's version of Gparted is top-notch! It's a good distro.
With 192MB or RAM, zoobs should be able to run something better than a
"minimalist" distro like DSL, Puppy, or Feather. I save those for
128-or-less machines.
At the R30's hardware level, I'd try PCLinuxOS, Monoppix, and Fedora
7. I've gotten those to run on similar machines. I've never actually
installed Monoppix, so that's LiveCD only, but the other two I have.
I know for a fact SuSE isn't happy with less than 256MB. I wouldn't
try anything featuring late version of KDE (3.5+) on the R30 either --
too graphics-intensive.
