HELP!

I can't get my new printer to work or install.

I purchased an HP D4260, and I've tried to install it on my computer,
which is running PC LinuxOS 2007. The CUPS doesn't have a compatible
printer driver, and the downloadable driver I was directed to by HP is
all binary junk that was corrupted. To amuse myself, I tried the
installation CD, but all that came up were the long file names, as
opposed to things like "install.exe," or a similar, easy to understand
format.

CUPS.org doesn't have a printer driver for download, either.

Anyone have any ideas? Preferably in simple English, or a direct fix
available?

I've also e-Mailed HP in hope that they may have some ideas.

Thanks if anyone can offer some assistance.
