Good day!
I bought a new Intel Motherboard model D945GCPE (LGA 775 Socket), an Intel
Dore Duo Processor, and 1.0 GB of DDR2 RAM. It has "High Definition Audio"
Raltek ALC662
The machine runs on XP, Mac OSX, and Ubuntu.
With Mac OSX, there is no sound and the built-in Ethernet hardware is not
detected. I added a CNET200 (cheap) Network Card and the Ethernet runs good.
Since I use Mac OSX for testig only, the lack of sound is not an issue.
My problem in Linux is that sometimes yes, and sometimes no, there is no
sound from the speakers. My Linux setup is the last available (with
automatic updates). But I have been not able to discover what makes this
erratic behavior on the sound.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Regards from Costa Rica
Luis-Alberto
