Hi all,
Just thought I'd give an update on this in case anyone else runs into
this.  The issue was resolved by simply passing the "hpet=disable"
kernal parameter at boot up.  I have entered this into the GRUB.conf
file and have not had an issue since(about 2 weeks now).
