I just put together a computer with a blu-ray drive and installed Ubuntu ArtistX Karmic. I found a bunch of programs that I can probably get to run under Wine that'll rip a BD, but I haven't found anything that'll read the disks directly.
I purchased a BD and put it into the drive, but there were no applications identified that would run it. I can read the disk just fine, and I have found the directory with the video data, but nothing will display it. While I can almost certainly rip the disk and play the resultant .mp4 files, I would like to be able to pop a disk into the drive and play the disk. ArtistX has quite a variety of video readers, but I couldn't get any of the ones I tried to work. Any suggestions?
