If you want to copy the new mail files to a directory on your own box, what 
about a program like ftpmirror or ftpgrab?

I haven't used either one, mind, so I don't know if you can set them to operate 
on some sort of timed basis; but you could most likely do it as a cron job if 
they don't have this facility built in.
