  Thanks for your reply, Roy.  I believe the issue has something to do with the 
GRUB 2 which apparently didn't give you any problems.  Maybe it's a relatively 
rare problem so I'm certainly not going to worry about it now.  It may be some 
time before I even install as I have no real need yet.  My antivirus seems to 
be working well, I haven't needed to reboot once *yet* and 7 is not a totally 
undesirable product.  Besides, I paid for it anyway, right?  lol  A bit of 
justification there.
