There is too little information to troubleshoot from. We need to know what your setup is. Boot loaders are complex and problems can be hard to diagnose because everybody has a different setup. One person could have two drives and another two partitions or more and the BIOS could configure the drives differently. It is a crap shoot unless you tell us more.
