It call the generic PNP function, but before that should enter ext_function mode, otherwise nothing in the superio can be changed.

The code for this part was really out of date in the way it worked, because it did not use Eric's new generic PNP functions, and we couldn't figure out what should stay and what should go. Can you send me a patch for what you think should happen and we'll put that support back in. thanks ron
