O.k. Headway has been made.
I have completely refactored the pci setup code. And made some minor but noticeable improvements. The effect is that nothing assumes you are pci anymore. The code is still highly pci centric but non-pci devices can be plugged in. For me the practical improvement is that even with a quadrics card plugged in (which has a 256M 256M aligned pci resource), I can keep the address space chewed up by pci devices down to 512M. Instead of 768M of the stock BIOS or 1G that I have currently working, under LinuxBIOS. I still need a practical test of the hooks I have added to knock the last kinks out but everything looks good so far. Hopefully I will get this all committed sometime next week. Eric
