  ONE OF OUR READERS who was at Linuxworld at the beginning of last week
  talked to a partner showing off a dual Opteron server.

  He said that this board uses PC2100 registered ECC DDR but it was another
  chip on the motherboard that really caught his attention.

  He said that the board had an IBM Power CPU running at 90MHz, together with
  Flash memory holding a Linux micro kernel for BIOS functions and processor
  failover and replacement.


Seems quite extreme to use an entire CPU for a BIOS, and it is not at all clear
if it uses any of linuxbios per se. Or much else...
