First, it is good that I heard it actaully worked somewhere.

But on my systems, I tried both build 2446 and 2475 that I download from the 
web site, both of them have the same problem as I described.

Are you using a private build that differ from the web?

I tried GCC 3.4.2 on Redhad Enterprise. It doesn't work,

So for LinuxBIOS, GCC 3.X are no longer supported?
