I am using 2 x 256Mb 100Mhz DIMMS. Apart from the occasional hang on boot which really bugs me, I don think I have any problems. If my board gets as far a FILO it boots all the way. At least I have no trouble SSH'ing into it once it is up. I also had the same problem with memtest. Still don't quite get the normal/fallback options. If I ever try to use just one, leaving more room in the flash I can't get it to boot at all. Perhaps I will have another go and maybe track down an older version of memtest which will hopefully be smaller. I will also see if I can get hold of some 133Mhz ram. I think the whole raminit could be tidied up a little bit and it would be good to have the memory to test the board with.
