I think there, about support for every clock chip (like l9248). I think this
will help to overclock and/or underclock and/or for (most important) properly
set speed of CPU and FSB and PCI and AGP. If you have any trouble in find
datasheets about clock chips I know few web sites where anyone can download
datasheets for free.

Do you offer to write some code? Back in 2005, we had some code to
over-/underclock hypertransport links. That code has been dropped, though.

Even if some new code for overclocking will be written, there is still
the question whether we want such code in LinuxBIOS. Usually people
blame the stuff which gives them the ability to shoot themselves in the
foot. I don't want people blaming LinuxBIOS because it allowed them to
overclock their machines until the hardware failed.

Sorry, I can not support LinuxBIOS now. I just can not write so complicated program like something in BIOS - it is too hard for me and I think this is too complicated. I writes allready only two programs and one path (for Linux Kernel (software suspend 2 on gcc4.0 for 2.6.12 (I do not remember, but there was two or three rows of code to change and later I found this path in newer version of kernel and I patched it right (I still do not know how I can do this this, but I made this))). Now I can only support by giving you (all community) work too do (like devices to support). Sorry, I can not help now, maybe later when I shall be ready for such great task. But I think there must be over/under-clock functionality, because some people have old motherboards with newer CPUs and they can not work normally without overclocking (eg. AMD Sempron (Thoroughbred B 200MHz FSB) on motherboard with AMD761 + VIA VT82C686B).
