Finally I installed a RedHat 6.2 and used a linux-2.4-test12 kernel and it
worked fine.

I'm going to try again with 2.4test12 under mandrake 7.2 just to see if
it's possible with mdk7.2.

One question: does it works with 2.4 final release ? which config & patch
should I use ?

Next step: remonving the hard drive and putting the root fs in the DoC ;-)
It possible isn't it ?
