Hi, just a quick question,
in the "open" bios world, ther is AFAIK 3 main projects ,
-openbios, supposed to be an open prom compatible with sun and apples
openboot procedure
-freebios, an open bios for PCs
-linuxbios, an open bios, linux based bios .
The "problem" is that I saw in freebios CVS , a directory named linuxbios ,
thus the question, did the 2 project merge in some way ? or is it just an
"exchange of information" ?
I have an old pentium class motherboard (440HX) that I can play with , and
even if I never hotflashed a bios prom, I'm not really afraid of this kind
of
manipulation . The only problem is mainly the lack of free time , but that's
an other story . So if I manage to cope with the schedule problem, I'd
like to try to contribute , but I don't know which project is more relevant
...
