Ron,
        Your program is totally wrong for SiS 630 and friends. There are
a lot of thing to change to run on SiS 630/730 (not only BASE ADDR).
Unfortunately I don't have time to do it myself now.

BTW, you 2.4.6 kernel patch is also a bit wrong (you should use diff
-urN
rather than diff -ur). I just committed my patch on CVS.
