Hi,

I am interested in using an off-the-shelf motherboard to build an
embedded system. I want to embed a microkernel based OS (e.g., eCOS)
into the ROM. Your project looks great as a starting point for building
the firmware.

I'm very interested in using a SiS 730 based board and it looks like you
have source supporting that chipset. That will make a great starting
point. But I would really like to have datasheets on this chipset so I
can understand it more fully and make full use of it, especially the
graphics section. But I don't seem to be able to get anyone at SiS to
respond to such requests. I have found the spec for the 305 chip, which
is supposedly the same as the graphics core in the 730. But I have found
nothing on the 730 itself. I am also very interested in getting details
about the upcoming 740 chipset, which would be even better for my
investigations.

How did you discover the internal register set of this chip, how to burn
the Flash ROM, etc.? Did SiS share information with you on a
nondisclosure basis, or are you free to share it with others (like me
:-)

Also, what motherboard did you use to test and debug the 730 code?

Any help you can provide would be great, Thanks!
