It looks like the ECS K7SEM motherboard is limited to a 256Kbyte BIOS.
The motherboard comes with a Winbond W49F002U-12B 256KB EEPROM.

This would not be an issue if replacable with a 512KB part, but
it looks like this may not be possible. Where a 29F040 part has
the A18 pin this chip has RESET.
Somehow fitting the Linux kernel in 256KB or less sounds difficult.
What I find confusing is the report of success with a PCCHIPS M810LMR
as this *appears* to be the same board.
