Hi,
I found in the list archives about M810LMR motherboard and it looks from the
Ollie's e-mail that L2 cache can not be enabled by linuxbios, this means a
big performance slowdown, I am right? Or maybe this is already supported
now, the message was half year ago... however I checked the config , it has
commented the line CONFIGURE_L2_CACHE. And another thread about performance
of Sis730 with Athlon/Duron started, but I couldn't understand well, what's
the conclusion, do we have L2 cache enabled on Sis730 or not yet?

     Hello Guys,

After some clean up on K.M. Liu's effort, LinuxBIOS works in
a K7+SiS730S enviroment !!! The code has been committed in the CVS.
This should be a great news for cluster guys like Ron.

We are using PCCHIPS M810LMR mainboard as development platform. The
LinuxBIOS enviroment can boot to (work in) mulituser mode without
any trouble. Due to NDA with AMD, we (SiS) are not allowed to release
information on the L2 cache init, so L2 is not enabled. Probably Ron
has a solution on this. I will test other stuff this week.

The information on PCCHIPS M810LMR can be obtained from

             http://www.pcchips.com.tw/M810LMR.html

     Distirubtors of PCCHIPS world-wide:

             http://www.pcchips.com.tw/distribution.html

The mainboard costs U.S.$ 62 if ordered from Hong Kong, $64 form
Taiwan. I am asking Taiwan distributor if they accept credit card.
But you U.S. guys can contact the U.S. distribuors too.
There seems to be a new model M812LMR to be avaliable soon. I will
     keep an eye on it.

If you are interested in getting Specs on SiS 730 please send a mail,
it is NOT avaliable on the web page.

     Ollie
