no, these drivers was sent to me from PCTEL , claimed to be stable (and they 
are, I'm using them every day), for the intel i810 chip and audiorouting 
with Sis 540 chip. Both devices are on my motherboard (ECS K7SEM) as they 
also are on M810LMR. It is not driver issue, it is not motherboard issue, it 
is...... I dont know what it is, but with M810LMR I has the same problem, if 
you make it on M810LMR it will also work on K7SEM. And with M756LMR i had 
similar problem (though it uses Cmedia chip), but not losing IRQ, the modem 
was not adquiring IRQ from linuxbios until I found a corresponding working 
irq_tables.c . Now I tryed thousand of tables, but no luck... 

BTW, the ptserial.c that comes with PCTEL's driver is a modified serial.c 
from kernel tree, that's why I can modify and debug the driver's code. PCTEL 
has separated his propietary code into pctel.o object that is loaded as 
module and used by ptserial.c to init the modem, code/decode and etc...
