On the 7308e (SiS630) and 810lmr (SiS730), I've been using a userspace program to set 
the ICS chip before invoking monte.

NOTE: The linux kernel uses busy loops for some short delays, based on the bogomips 
calculations. Thes delays will be too short is the timer is tweeked after the kernel 
boots. I don't know what (if any) consequences that might have). Probably best to 
either set in LinuxBIOS, or set, then monte/kexec.
