For an examples see John Clemens most recent patch to the linux kernel
which enables SSE support on the newer athlons. Or see the current
work on the linux kernel that has been done to track down the mysterious
Athlon crashes with Athlon optimizationed memcpy. Which is a via northbridge
bug from the looks of it.
