Yes, and no. linuxBIOS is primarily for pcs with the linux kernel. And that is what most of the developers care about. However there are no technical reasons for not being able to run another operating system. It is just a matter of elbow grease for someone to port the other operating system or modify linuxBIOS. linuxBIOS also runs on the alpha. And hopefully on other chips as we get a solid foundation and more board supported. The goal of the original freebios project was to be an x86 bios replacement but no one has written the 16 bit compatibility code. Eric
