BIOS passwords are (usually) stored in CMOS. Maybe not on the VAIO.

One easy way to zero CMOS is to find the battery and disconnect it.
Sometimes there is a "zero CMOS" jumper but not usually on laptops.

tell her "ha ha" over the phone.
