Cool. As far as mandatory. With the recent IDE work I suspect I could load a kernel from the harddrive, with a 64KB linuxBIOS image... I'd probably already have this integrated if I didn't a cold, and a nasty problem with machines with 6GB of ram only detecting 64MB, that I had to resolve. Ehterboot now has the newest for of memory detection implemented... int 0x15 eax=e820.... Eric
