LinuxBIOS can load an standalone ELF executable.  you just set
the USE_ELF_BOOT=1 option.
This includes etherboot, and memtest86.

Although etherboot requires a patch at the moment.

Tiara was a strange offshoot.  I don't know what became of them.

Grub unfortunantely is very highly tied to the x86 bios.

SiS has already gotten Windows CE to boot, on their hardware.  If
we start booting everything under the sun we might have to
change the name back to freebios.  But otherwise.
