Dear Sir,
I have tested the linux-2.4.7 included in freebios
cvs tree. I finished all patching , compiling and
flashing to DOC successfully. When I booted my
computer from DOC coldly, I counld't see any display
on monitor, but when I reseted the machine, it worked
very well. What't the problem? I am now using
linux-2.4.0-test12 linuxbios, it hasn't such problem.
mainboard: winfast 6300 max pro
chip : DOC 8M
vga para: vga=sisfb:800x600-8@60,font=vga8x16
tested kernel: 2.4.17 from linuxbios-sdk, 2.4.7 from
freebios cvs tree
monitor: Hyndai 14S
phenomena: coldly boot the machine, no display
reset the machine, it's ok
question: do you have tested it successfully, and
what type monitor do you use?
I guess the vga parameter in command line is not
correct. Maybe the refresh frequency 60 is not
correctly match the monitor.
