Yes. The PPC I believe has a nice feature that allows you to lock cache lines into the CPU. Makeing it easier to do things like initialize ram from C code. Laptops are traditionally a little harder to find the chipset documetation for. But I really don't know what it looks like from the apple side. Depending it could be either better or worse getting something to work from. Eric
