EFI uses x86 partition tables. BSD partition tables are a bit different
on whatever platform they are created. I really like the Amiga Rigid
Disk Block as well, even though it is a dead standard. It doesnt use a
fixed size for partition information but a linked list, which means you
have abolutely no restrictions except disk size when creating partitions
