Your VGA BIOS is likely to try to install its own INT 10h vector at 0000:0040, regardless of where the IDT is actually pointing. It may then try to call it, and expect it to work. Do we put an i386 emulator in the Alpha LinuxBIOS too? :) -- dwmw2
