Hi.
I just browsed thrue your webb, and I got a
question.
I use a L440GX board for my server at home, and are
thinking of giving linux bios a try.
From what I understand, the function is basicly
that the LinuxBios packet build a linux kernel, that kan be started without a
Bios?
And whith that, we put it in the bios
rom.
Since I have a L440Gx, it has a 1Mbyte rom, so the
kernel can not be more than 1Mb then?
So I need to get my kernel config down below 1Mb,
and put the rest in modules.
What I was thinking of, is that the L440Gx does not
support celeron cpu,s.
When I use the LinuxBios, could that work? Since
there is no bios code in place, the mainboard should not have any way of seing
this, and the linux kernel wouldent complaine about a celeren?
The thing is that I have two 233PII cpu,s now. But
I happen to have some celeron 466 laying around.
