Agreed, but so far I don't see people asking for any of these.
For a wishlist the goal is to see what people want/need.  And then
we can evaluate what makes sense to build.  

The SRM problem is that despite sharing device drivers with VMS it
doesn't support a lot of hardware.  And it isn't open source so you
can't fix that.

EFI has a lot, but it's size is large.

But I am deliberately what eventually needs to get built.  It looks
like flexibility, and good abstraction layers is one of the biggest
requirements.
