I'm using FILO 0.4.2, don't think I've done any unusual config or so there. Is there something special with FILO that could go wrong?
I have missed memtest86. I suppose it's in the LinuxBIOS tree? I'll give it a try when I'm back with this tomorrow.

I think it's a filo problem, could you try booting memtest86 instead?
