So far, I'm quite impressed by Linuxconf, mostly because it was able to reinstate on-demand dialing, which I though was broken under RH5.2 - that alone was worth installing it. I'm trying to configure one of my linuxboxes as a router for my internet access from various workstations. Before Linuxconf, I was able to manually set it to bring up the ppp link (since diald wouldn't work under RH 5.x), mnaually configure my dhcpd, and manually set firewall rules to allow forwarding and masquerading (ipfwadm -F -a m -S 192.168.100.0/24 -D 0.0.0.0/0). This worked fine. With Linuxconf active, this no longer works. Has anyone been sccessful setting up such a configuration, and can you share what you configured, and how..?
