Alright, I'm now running 1.13r7 with the appropriate gui module.

At this point, *ALL* of the masquerade, as well as routing works with
demand dial as well, and I did not even have to change the firewall
forwading rules (as I thought I would have to do.

The strange thing is that this exact same configuration did NOT work
under 1.13r4 - so, whatever you did, Jacques, thank you - it works like a
charm now.

In case you didn't do anything - Thank you magic faery, for whatever you
did :-)

In essence, what I did:

* Install Red Hat 5.2 from scratch.
* Remove existing linuxconf 1.12 (rpm -e linuxconf [after removing
depedent files]
* install linuxconf 1.13r7.rpm
* install linuxconf gui 1.13r7.rpm
* install diald rpm.
* configure manual ppp via linuxconf.
* enable routing
* enable firewall and forwarding.
* configure forwarding rules.
* test that all works - it does.
* change to demand dial.
* test that all works from clients - it does.
* go celebrate.

Harry
